It was held in 2025
Family attraction Shakes on the Rocks has ditched its fireworks display – after one year. Shakes on the Rocks – on New Street, in Biddulph Moor – has grown from opening a fresh milk vending machine during the coronavirus pandemic.
It has just finished its Halloween 2026 festivities and staged its first-ever fireworks display in 2025. But there will be no repeat in 2026.
In a social media post, Shakes on the Rocks stated: “We’ve had lots of people asking if we’re doing a fireworks display this year, so we just wanted to let everyone know that we won’t be holding our own display this year.”
It comes as nearby Knypersley Cricket Club – on Tunstall Road, in Knypersley – is hosting its annual bonfire and fireworks display on Friday 6 November. Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 7pm, and the fireworks start at 7.30pm.
An early-bird family ticket – two adults and two children – is £18; an adult ticket – aged 13 to 64 – is £7.50; a child ticket – aged 12 and under – is £4.50; and an OAP ticket – 65 and over – is £4.50. Tickets can be purchased online this year for the first time. To buy your tickets, click here.
