Logistics real estate operator Logicor has agreed new lettings at two West Midlands industrial parks.
Credit hire and fleet management firm AX has signed a new 10-year lease on a 48,933 sq ft unit at Liberty Park in Lichfield and will join fellow occupiers DHL, Newell Brands, Florette, Tesco and Screwfix at the site.
Mark Canning, AX’s director of property, said: “We have been working harder than ever throughout the global pandemic to make sure our customers have access to vehicles when they need them to safely continue their operations – mobility has never been more important.
“When the opportunity arose for AX to evaluate new locations for our Midlands facility, Logicor was the obvious first call. The UK team worked swiftly and seamlessly to identify and secure the space we needed to best service our valued customers.”
Meanwhile Wed Logistics has taken a five-year lease on a 23,005 sq ft refurbished warehouse and office space at Griffin Business Park in Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham.
Richard Phillips, Logicor’s portfolio director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Wed Logistics to our UK portfolio and look forward to building a long-term relationship with the team.”
Chris Keye of Darby Keye Property – who advised Logicor on the deal – added: “Wed Logistics Ltd were keen to secure a well-located distribution warehouse and Unit 1 Griffin Business Park offered the perfect solution.
“The estate, which is situated close to both the M42 and M6 motorway junctions, is now fully let – testament to the quality of the accommodation provided and its strategic location.”
