Kelvin and Liz Fletcher made a special appearance on morning TV, presenting an ‘exclusive announcement’ live from their bustling farm. Though the couple already star in their own show, they’ve now revealed that Lorraine’s cameras will be capturing behind-the-scenes moments of their family life at the farm.
Straight after doing the school run and joining Lorraine Kelly live, Kelvin shared some candid insights: “I didn’t feel like I was living the dream this morning, when no one would do what they were told, that’s the children, not the animals, the animals are normally the best behaved really.”
Lorraine engaged with his experiences, remarking, “It’s amazing how life turns out, there you are, all those years on Emmerdale and you were so brilliant on Strictly but you were going to go to Hollywood. You were going to go to Los Angeles, there were a lot of doors opening there, lots of auditions lined up and then of course, COVID hit. So you’ve gone from Hollywood to being a farmer, you couldn’t make it up could you?”
In response, Kelvin reflected: “Hollywood to Cheshire, I didn’t quite plan for that, it’s funny how things turn out and with our family now, it’s a life that we never envisaged but it’s a life we can’t imagine not being like that.”
Lorraine excitedly hinted: “And you’ve got a bit of an announcement for us which we are all very excited about…” Liz then made the big reveal on air stating: “Over the next few weeks and months we’re going to be sharing with you and the viewers a bit of an exclusive insight into our life on the farm. It’s going to be an exciting few months with you guys.”
Talking about their children growing up on the farm which is in the village of Wincle between Leek and Macclesfield, Liz added: “The kids are all at different ages so Marnie and Milo are definitely a help, the twins are an absolute liability.”
Kelvin went on to say about involving their children in farm life: “I think the best thing about having the kids for me is their understanding of the responsibility you have with a farm and the privilege it is. Understanding where our food comes from the hard work, the ups and downs.” reports the Manchester Evening News.
